So last weekend I decided it was time to go through my CD collection and pull out all the stuff I don't listen to (or never listened to) and see if I could sell it. At the same time, perhaps remind myself of what I do have!

I used to work in a music store. That means alot of my CDs I got from the label reps since they bring stuff in to get you to play it etc. so that it will sell. It also means I have a lot of CDs.

I managed to pull out 82 CDs. Nothing noteworthy. Just to prove that point - I only got $25 for the 80 of them. But something is better than nothing and now I have more shelf space for stuff I will listen to.

At any rate, I decided it was time to also listen to some old CDs that I haven't listened to in ages, or in some cases, never listened to. (Yes this is possible! And yes, I also have some CDs in plastic still - I am ashamed to admit.)

These are the first batch of CDs that I have dusted off and are now in my CD case to listen to for the next little while when at work or in the car:

- New Order (The Best Of) - They really are a great band and I still know so many of the lyrics!
- Pearl Jam (Binaural) - Ok, I must admit I don't know this album very well which is why I will be listening to it now.
- Great Pianists of the 20th Century (Compilation) - A double album, one that I forgot I had. I quite like classical music. Good for those quiet moments or when I need to concentrate. Listening to disc 2.
- Cranberries (Not sure of album name since not on CD and don't have the cover with me - something about arguing!) - What happened to them?
- Fiona Apple (When the Pawn) - I believe this is her second album and one that I have always quite enjoyed. But again, what happened to her? Think I'll have to investigate this one!
- Bjork (Homegenic) - Another favourite of mine.
- The Beatles (Yellow Submarine) - My one and only Beatles album that I finally unwrapped out of the plastic. Surprising how much of the album I know. Quite enjoyed it, so perhaps I will have to go out and buy something else of theirs. There's usually some Beatles on sale somewhere!
- Roy Orbison (Greatest Hits) - I know you may be wondering where does this fit in, but I listened to it last night and I like Roy. Enough said.
- Smashing Pumpkins (Greatest Hits) - They were a really great band. It's funny how you forget these things when you don't listen to the music in a while.

I'll give you my next list when I rotate them again.

Ross, one of my coworkers announced some BlogACatMas thing...

Not being a cat owner I asked my friends, many of which are cat owners if they'd like to participate.

Well, it seems I am late. It was on October 1.

And it also seems pics of kitties are negative! Seems I'm not getting very much right about this thing...

Better late then never?
Anyhoo - check them out in the Photo Album called BlogACatMas...

This past week I have been playing house so to speak. I have decided to actually see if I can cook. Cook a real meal that is.

I made my first soup which was a pumpkin soup and I must say it turned out really well.

Today I made a stove top lasagna and it was also pretty good. Although I think they have their serving sizes off. It was supposed to serve four, but I think 6 would be more like it.
